While many people swear off fish while they are pregnant, not all fish carries a high mercury risk. Salmon has a very low risk for carrying mercury and if you’re really worried about it, you can always buy farmed salmon, although it is lower in those important omega-3 fatty acids. And, of course, be sure to talk to your doctor while you are pregnant to make sure you get all the essential nutrients you need to keep yourself and your baby feeling great.
